The History of Art is full
Of things two dimensional
Images, I mean to say
besides things made of stone or clay

Images are replicas
Of what is in our retinas
When we open and then close our eyes
Some light comes in
And then it dies

Think of all these works of art
No time, no motion, no taking part
No way to see the other side
Or what the picture plane may hide

The world of painting is basically flat
But eye and mind are more than that
The latest art is not the same
It's a virtual reality videogame!
